The Estimator is a member of the sales team. Estimator is responsible for working with our sales manager on accurately pricing and estimating custom casework, millwork, metal work, and furniture using industry standards, best practices, and Edgework guidelines. The Estimator is responsible for assessing the cost of construction projects. This role is critical in helping us maintain sales goals, project margins and important industry relationships.


Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with contractors to evaluate risks, estimate timelines, and ensure project Estimates stay within budget constraints set by clients.

  • Define the EWC scope and assumptions and clearly communicate to partners and our internal team.

  • Express critical thinking and problem solving skills to identify potential challenges and solutions.

  • Coordinate with project managers and fabrication team for details and manufacturability.

  • Maintain timelines according to priorities designated by the sales team

  • Maintain neat file organization and detailed documentation for ease of collaboration and communication

  • Document critical details and communicate potential issues with the Project Management team.

  • Read and interpret architectural drawings and design documents for estimating purposes.

  • Working with team members to continue to develop processes and best practices.

  • Maintaining ongoing and productive communication with the Sales Manager and Project managers throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Problem solving skills and high level of detail orientation required.
  • Knowledge of millwork and metal fabrication methods.
  • Experience reading architectural drawings and interpreting design documents.
