Columbus has a rich history in MLS soccer. The previous home of the Columbus Crew professional soccer team, the historic Columbus Crew stadium, was the first soccer-specific stadium built in the United States when it opened the 1999 season. Columbus Crew SC was one of the first 10 founding charter teams in the league and can boast 2 MLS championships. In 2017 with pending rumors of a move to Austin, TX, the #savethecrew movement was started and in 2019 it succeeded with the announcement of new ownership, and the proposal of a new stadium in the Arena District in downtown Columbus, Ohio. Columbus Crew has now moved to a brand new stadium, Lower.com Field, and we were honored to be invited to build stadium suite furniture for the premium spaces throughout the stadium. Take a look at the stadium furniture we built for the River and Rail clubs at this beautiful new stadium.
River Club
At over 6,000 square feet, the River Club, has exceptional views of the pitch and of downtown Columbus. We built over 70 tables for this space in a variety of styles- waterfall tables, bar height tables, dining tables, community tables, console tables and many, many more. The River Club has high ceilings, is flooded with natural light and has several bars and concession areas for fans. A great place for groups with family style dining tables and community tables.
Rail Club
Slightly smaller, the Rail Club has 4,800 square feet of private club space and equally exceptional views of the pitch. This club opens to private seating and box seating, and also features local food and beverage inside. With bold yellow ribboning on the ceilings and a variety of dining spaces, you’re sure to have a great time here. With over 50 tables in this space, again featuring waterfall tables, bar height tables, dining tables, community tables and console tables- you’ll have no trouble finding a comfortable spot to enjoy the match.
Supporting Local
Columbus knows how to support local businesses! It’s a thriving community of small businesses that are supportive and thoughtful about their spending power. We were thrilled to hear that not only was the stadium going to be filled with locally made furniture, but that they wanted us to put our company logo on the tops of the tables. It was a requirement in building the furniture! You will find our company logo on every single one of the 120+ tables we built for the stadium. What a thrill it is to get texts, photos and videos from people in the community saying they are enjoying a meal or a beer at one of our tables at the stadium. It was an honor to build this commercial custom furniture.
Stadium Experience
Having been to a handful of games in the stadium, we can assure you that you don’t need premium seats to have a great experience. We went as a company team last year to see the stadium, tour the premium spaces we built furniture for and enjoy a match. Our seats were fantastic and we can say without a doubt that there isn’t a bad seat in the stadium. The fans are engaged, the stadium is beautiful and there are so many local businesses represented at the stadium across- food, drink, experiences and of course, furniture. #gocrew #crew96 #forcolumbus
