The Sycamore's New Look

The Sycamore's New Look

Posted by Lindsay Remley on

The Sycamore, a German Village favorite, is now open with new ownership and a new look.  Step inside for a tour and glimpse at the new design.  In partnership with Mary Dietsch Architecture & Design and Axis Construction we helped transform the space for the new owners, Good Food Restaurants.   Filled with beautiful materials, it's a tonal and warm space.

Coffee To Go

Before you even walk in the door you'll notice one of the newest updates to The Sycamore, a new coffee bar and walk up window.  Serving coffee and pastries to go, or to stay.  A coffee and pastry while strolling the streets of German Village sounds like the perfect way to spend a weekend morning.  We built so many components for this space including the pastry and mug rack, counters and shelving in front of the walk up window.

Group Dining

The curved bench just inside the front door creates an intimate moment to dine with friends and family.  Highlighting our work in both metal and wood, this booth is delicate and detailed but big enough for a group.

Variety of Seating

One of the features we love the most about this space is all the varied seating throughout the restaurant.  We were able to create several different seating pieces throughout the restaurant.  We love the sleek and clean look of these metal framed benches with walnut seats to create a more open booth seating experience. Further back in the restaurant you will find a more traditional booth with walnut partitians built by Edgework Creative.

Bar Shelving

Similar to the coffee station, we created shelving and storage solutions for the bar.  As with so much of our work in this space, these shelves highlight our work in both metal and wood work as well as casework. We've seen the cocktail menu and drinks first hand, we will meet you here 😉

Other Details

Along with furniture and fixtures for the space, we provided walnut materials to our dear friends at Axis Construction for installations throughout the space, including the walnut slats in the back dining room and bar counter.

The Sycamore is Now Open!

It is so great that this local favorite is back with a fresh look, menu and owners.  Also new, they are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner now.  Be sure to stop by for a cup of coffee in the morning at their walk up window, a tasty lunch, or enjoy some cocktails and dinner with friends.  The space is warm and inviting, and the team behind it all is even better.  Get reservations now!
